Local REIA’s

Local REIA’s are a great source of information for new and experienced real estate investors alike. Real estate is a relationship business, and there are always new people to meet and interact with at your local REIAs. For me, local REIAs have been a great way to keep my business stable no matter how the economy is.

This post is going to provide information on some of my local REIAs. If you would like to check out any local REIAs close to you, click the link here.

Georgia REIA

The Georgia REIA was started in 1981 and is one of the longest running local REIAs in the country. The organization is governed by a volunteer board of directors. This board of directors maintains the visions and missions of the organization.

The Georgia REIA office is open Monday through Thursday 12 pm to 5 pm, and evenings on Saturdays when classes are held.

On the second Monday of each month the local REIAs general meeting is held at the Wyndham Atlanta Galleria. Doors generally open at 5:30pm and the meeting lasts until 9:00pm.

This local REIAs headquarters is a business resource center that provides members with the perfect location to meet other investors, attend seminars and participate in meet-ups.

Atlanta REIA

The Atlanta REIA differentiates itself from other local REIAs by calling itself a Real Estate Investor Alliance, however it serves a similar purpose to the other local REIAs. The Atlanta REIA is the newest of the local REIAs in the Georgia area. So what sets the Atlanta REIA apart from other local REIAs?

While the Atlanta REIA offers similar services to other local REIAs, it prides itself in offering real advice from real investors who are doing deals on a daily basis instead trying to sell their own agenda in the form of books or CDs. This is a huge advantage for the investor who is just starting out and wants a better idea of what is working or not working in their local community as opposed to a national scale.

While all local REIAs have a strong emphasis on networking and building relationships, the Atlanta REIA is well known for community outreach through charity work at Fuller Center of Atlanta, whom they help build, renovate and repair homes for needy families in the community.

North Metro REIA

The North Metro REIA is another local REIA that stands for many of the same values as all of the other local REIAs in the area. They meet on a regular basis to share leads, information and contacts to help others gain the knowledge needed for successful real estate investing.

The North Metro REIA focuses on three main perks: networking, education, and benefits (one of which is having the Home Depot as a vendor). While most local REIAs focus on the same values, most of the time they provide different types of education and strategies. The North Metro REIA does its best to bring new and innovative thinking to the table at each and every meeting.

Each of these local REIAs in my area have different benefits. The main one being different networks of people. I advise everybody to join multiple local REIAs in your area. This is the best way to ensure that you are well networked and have plenty of resources to turn to no matter what situations you might run into.
